So yeah, I've definitely caught the Maya bug... This is my latest effort within Maya: A mirror-like orb, showing me in its reflection. A short post this time around, but after 3days in completing this shot, Ill let the picture do all the talking ;)

In what originally started as an examples to my partner of what Maya was capable of, this picture seemed  to come together with both of our input and  the resultant effect was better than expected - not bad for what was a 20 minute play with a few of the commands! This takes its place as my computer's wall paper, least for the time being...I shall have to make a couple more of these kind of shots now that I have the bug for it hehe

It was later pointed out to me after making that entry that in describing my 3 week easter break as 'spring break', I was painfully 'american' sounding, which I guess is a valid observation to make...however I maintain that regardless of being British, my holiday resides in both..so ner! Anyways, the point is that during the second term, our work was based upon 3d rendering within the Maya 2010 suite, which was to prepare us for a group assignment in which we worked upon a rendered 3d animation. In taking the game 'Micro Machines' as our template, my group decided to produce what we call 'Maya Machines' ^^

It would be nice to report that I'd now finished all that needed to be handed in and that was the end of that for another couple of months, but newp...I have a fair bit to do over the next 3 weeks before I end this term officially -_- Nothing too strenuous on the face of it but I'll certainly be happy to have it done and out of the way ahead of time! I have really enjoyed it though, despite the stressful moments, and I'll be sorry to see the end of this particular course. I've met some fantastic people along the way, learned some new skills and feel prepared for the next 4 years of study I have ahead of me in the form of my Computer Games Programming Degree :D I feel like I should be thanking those who supported me and laughing at those that didn't in this post, but I'm not quite out of the waters yet. Perhaps in a month or so, eh? You all know who you are anyways ^^

I miss putting my ideas onto 'paper', so to speak. But in owning a blog, sometimes you can never think what to write. Which is actually total bollocks, because I often find I have so much going on with my hectic social life, my time at uni and the millions of other happening in between that I just don't know where to begin. The problem therein is how much of that real life information you allow to seep through into your writing. Of course my last blogging attempts were all Second Life based and with Second Life not ticking any boxes for enjoyment lately, I thought I'd start a blog about something infinitely more important, ME! ...which of course makes me self centered and egotistical upon first glance but this is a personal blog from now on...so this is the nature of the beast which completely exonerates me from judgment. Expect photos, geek out moments, private happening and everything else that is the guy behind the pseudonym.
